Screening coursework with Alison McQueen teaches Natural Medicine facilitator trainees to make ethical and informed decisions regarding psychedelic session planning and client care. This course offers an in-depth review of the screening process, intake paperwork & work flow, and informed consent documents required by the Natural Medicine Health Act. Through case studies, lectures & group experientials students will gain an in-depth understanding of how to prevent harm, safeguard their clients and their work through thorough vetting, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful client outcomes and sustainable career development in the field of psychedelics.

The Crisis Prevention and Intervention seminar provides a clear protocol to prevent and minimize harms that could happen during and after a Natural Medicine session. Students will learn how to identify symptoms of significant mental health concerns, and how to intervene during a physical or mental health crisis, both during and after a psychedelic session. The course also explores psychedelic community safety and how to identify trauma caused by psychedelic medicines.
