Daniel McQueen, MA

Daniel McQueen is a Psychedelic Specialist, Psychedelic Therapy Educator, Activist, and Author of the book Psychedelic Cannabis. In 2012, he co-founded the Center of Medicinal Mindfulness in Boulder, Colorado, the first legal plant-based psychedelic therapy and training center in the United States. Daniel specializes in Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy, Ketamine-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy, and psilocybin mushrooms and natural N,N-DMT personal use support under the Natural Medicine Health Act of Colorado. His work with psychedelic cannabis has created a wide-spread movement of practitioners across the United States, Canada and Europe. Daniel holds a Masters from Naropa University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of psychedelic medicine.

Most importantly for this class’s context, Daniel has successfully managed a very complex psychedelic therapy center and training program for 12 years, building it from a small studio in his home’s basement, to a thriving community of thousands, now with a large office and classroom space in Boulder. Having navigated the legal, financial, operational and so many other barriers to thriving in a legal psychedelic therapy practice, he’s excited to teach this class with his colleague, Lani Lee, to help the next generation of psychedelic guides start their private practices and maybe soften the edges of their transformation through his years of being tempered by the fires of entrepreneurship.
